The GYTY63 fiber optic cable is a loose tube, double-jacketed, fully non-metallic cable reinforced with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) tapes. Designed for harsh environments, it is suitable for direct burial, duct installation, and applications requiring corrosion resistance, lightweight construction, and immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI). Ideal for long-haul communication, metro networks, and installations in chemically corrosive or high-moisture areas.

 

Cable Structure

The GYTY63 features a layered, non-metallic reinforcement design:

  1. Central Strength Member: High-tensile FRP rod for axial tensile resistance.

  2. Loose Tubes: Optical fibers housed in PBT loose tubes filled with water-blocking gel for moisture protection.

  3. Cable Core: Multiple loose tubes stranded around the central FRP member.

  4. Water-Blocking Layer: Water-resistant tapes/yarns wrapped around the core for longitudinal water ingress prevention.

  5. Inner Sheath: Black PE providing primary mechanical protection.

  6. Reinforcement Layer: FRP tapes helically wrapped or longitudinally applied for enhanced crush resistance and tensile strength (non-metallic).
